Evans, David W. (David Woolley), 1833-1876
Variant namesDavid W. Evans (1833-1876) was a reporter and teacher in Utah. He was born 6 January 1833 in Louth, England. He learned shorthand at the age of eight as he worked as a shoemaker. He emigrated to Utah, and worked as a reporter for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Deseret News. He married Elizabeth Alldridge on 15 June 1862, and they had four children. He died 5 July 1876 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
