Hide Profile
The society formed as the Union Debating Society, changing its name to the Adelphian Debating Society at its second meeting. For the weekly meetings, the Executive Committee prepared a topic for debate, appointed two members on the Affirmative and two on the Negative, as well as three members to judge the debate. Occasionally, the debate was followed by a dramatic presentation or declamation.
