Hoopes, Joseph C., 1919-1993.
Joseph C. Hoopes was a managerial employee at the DuPont Company's Deepwater Point Works or Dye Works, later renamed the Chambers Works, located at Deepwater Point, N.J., across the Delaware River from Wilmington. During 1943, he was assigned to the new "Blue Products Area" which was the code name for a building housing secret work for the Mahattan Project.
