Woodruff family.
The Woodruffs were a lumbering family from Ludington, Michigan.
Two sons, Eugene C. and Edwin F. Woodruff attended the University of Michigan in the 1890s. The brothers also traveled in Michigan during the school breaks. The Marin family immigrated from Sweden in the 1880s. Their sons, Fred and Axel Marin, attended the University of Michigan in the 1920s.
Axel Marin became a professor at the University of Michigan, serving on the Board of Intercollegiate Athletics, and was also the president of Fischer Hardware, his wife's family business.
