Gautier, James Donovan

Corporal James D. Gautier Jr. of Moss Point, Miss., attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La. He served with the U.S. Air Corps in the Philippines during World War II. Gautier was captured at Bataan on April 7, 1942, survived the Bataan Death March, and was a prisoner of war by the Japanese in the Philippines until July 1944 when he was sent to Japan. He remained a prisoner there until the end of the war.
