Welsh, James, fl. 1785-1830.
Biographical note: James A. Welsh was a Presbyterian minister and professor of languages at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. He resigned from Transylvania in 1801 following a petition to the board of trustees from students that he be removed for a variety of reasons.
