The Florida Economic Growth and International Development Commission was created in 1988 (Ch. 88-201, Laws) to develop a strategy for the acceleration of economic growth and international development in Florida. Its study focused on the areas of domestic and international infrastructure; economic development; education and human resources; international trade; and tourism. The Commission sent a report of its recommendations to the Governor and Legislature and was abolished on June 30, 1990.
