Aubrey Morris was born on January 11, 1922 in Roswell, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1945 with a B.A. in journalism and began working at the Atlanta Journal, where he was a police reporter for thirteen years. Morris married his wife Tera, with whom he had three children, while he was working for the Atlanta Journal. In 1957, WSB-TV hired Morris to start the first radio news department in Atlanta, Georgia where he served for more than thirty years as news and editorial director. He retired from WSB-TV in 1987 and currently lives in North Fulton County near Alpharetta, Georgia. Morris writes articles for Appen Newspapers, Inc.
