Lofgren, Edward Joseph, 1914-

Lofgren received his Ph.D. from Dept. of Physics at the University of California in 1946. He was very active in the development of the Bevatron accelerator at the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory during that time, and served as group leader of the Bevatron beginning in 1952. Lofgren also served as Associate Director of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory from 1973-1979.
