Greater Newark HUD Tenant Coalition.
Begun in 1987, the HUD Tenants' Coalition of Newark, a founding member of the National Alliance of Housing and Urban Development Tenants, grew from 8 to 25 member buildings, housing an estimated 25,000 residents, and continues to work with tenant leaders from privately-owned HUD-assisted apartment complexes in Newark.
