Wargelin, Raymond W.

Raymond Waldemar Wargelin (b. 1911), a Lutheran clergyman and educator, was born in Republic, Michigan. He served Suomi Synod Lutheran congregations in Berkeley and Reedley, California, and Fairport Harbor, Ohio; taught theology at Suomi College (Michigan) and later served as president; was executive director of the Suomi Synod Luther League; and was editor-in-chief of the Lutheran Counselor. He served as President (Bishop) of the Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Church, Suomi Synod.
