The Lee Metcalf Natural Resources and Conservation Building, located in the capital complex in Helena, Montana, was dedicated on April 11, 1986. The structure was built to house the various divisions of the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation. Designed to conserve energy through its siting, insulation, and passive solar design, the building was dedicated to the late Senator Lee Metcalf as a tribute to his efforts on behalf of the preservation of Montana's natural resources.
