Pouliot, Gabrielle C., 1913-
Gabrielle Pouliot was born in Manitoba Province, Canada in 1913. Her family settled in Central Falls, RI in 1923 where she attended high school. She worked as a reeler in Coates Factory there until she joined the WAVES in 1944. She was a Master at Arms at Brooklyn Naval Hospital after six weeks training at U.S. Naval Training School (WR), Bronx, New York. She was discharged from the Navy in 1947 and joined the Pawtucket Reserve Unit that year. Later, in 1951, she was recalled to active duty during the Korean War and retired from the Reserves in 1973.
