Hartmann, Arthur, 1881-1956
Variant namesHartmann was born in Hungary, but emigrated as a child to the United States. He began a career as a concert violinist while still a child in 1887. During his career he was very active in the promotion of new music and so developed a wide correspondence with many important composers.
