National Urban League. Office of Washington Operations
The Washington Bureau was established in 1961 chiefly as the National Urban League's liaison office with the U.S. Congress and government agencies. In 1979 it was renamed the League's Policy Unit and was brought together administratively with the League's Research Department as the Office of Washington Operations.
