Noyes, Belcher, 1709-1785
Variant namesBelcher Noyes (1709-1785), the nephew of Governor Jonathan Belcher, was a Harvard graduate. He became a promient Boston businessman, physician, and speculator in frontier lands. Through these occupations, his influential family ties and other positions, Noyes accumulated a large estate.
