Bell, Anthea.
Variant namesAnthea was born in Sudbury, Suffolk, England in 1936. She received her BA at Oxford University in 1957 and her MA at the same institution in 1962. From 1958 to the present she has had a career as a freelance translator, adapter and writer for children's and adult books. In 1976 she received the Mildred L. Batchelder Award for her translation of The Cat and the Mouse Who Shared a House.
