Friends School (Haverford, Pa.)
Variant namesFriends School (Haverford, Pa.) began as the Haverford Primary School in 1885 to provide a Friends' education for Quaker children within Haverford Meeting. The school is under the oversight of Haverford Monthly Meeting through its School Committee. Past principals included Frances C. Ferris (1919-1946) and Miriam Jones Brown (1950-1981); Elizabeth B. Jones served as treasurer and chairman of the School Committee for many years.
