$A Scenic Hudson, Inc., formerly Scenic Hudson Preservation Conference, was founded in 1963 to oppose the Consolidated Edison Company's proposed pumped storage facility at Storm King Mountain, near Cornwall, New York. Alexander Saunders served on the Executive Committee of the Scenic Hudson Preservation Conference as Co-Chairman of the organization.
