Kenneth Godfrey studied political science and history at Utah State University. He is an author of several books about Cache Valley and its residents.
Kenneth W. Godfrey grew up in Cornish, Utah; attended Ricks College and Utah State University. Bachelor’s degree in political science from Utah State University; Master’s degree from Utah State University in political science; worked for the Church Educational System of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a seminary and institute teacher and an administrator until his retirement in 1995; graduate work at University of Southern California, University of Utah, and Brigham Young University which culminated in a doctorate from Brigham Young University in 1967; President of the Mormon History Association, 1983-1984; Author; areas of professional work are Mormon history and history of Cache Valley, Utah
