University of North Carolina (1793-1962). Faculty Council. Faculty Board of Public Relations.
The Faculty Board of Public Relations was appointed by the chancellor in 1956 as called for in a resolution of the Faculty Council. The board was charged with developing a publicity program interpreting the university's role in the state. The goal was to increase support for the university within the General Assembly and among the people of the state.
