The Cambridge Missionary Group was comprised of students from Cambridge University who graduated in 1928 or 1929 and were members of the Cambridge Inter-Collegiate Christian Union (C.I.C.C.U.). Many of the group's members became clergymen, others were doctors, schoolmasters or engineers, and some served as missionaries in Africa and China. The group called itself the 'Cambridge Missionary Group 1925-1926', then the 'Cambridge Missionary Group 1925-1928', and finally became the 'Cambridge Missionary Group 1928'.
The society's magazine was comprised of letters from members to the editor, with a full membership list at the end. It ran twice-yearly until 1937, yearly until 1940, then lapsed until it was revived at the instigation of Kenneth Hooker, with one issue in 1977, and then yearly issues, 1990-1999. The final two issues, 1998-1999, were shared with the surviving members of the similar 'Cambridge Missionary Fellowship 1930'.
