Minor, Mary J.
Born in Tennessee to Samuel Hunter, Mary J. Hunter moved with her family near Paris, Texas, in 1851. After her father’s death five years later, Mary married schoolteacher W. B. Minor around 1860. In 1862, W. B. enlisted in the Confederate Army and was stationed at various sites in Louisiana and Texas.
