Ruth Knox, the daughter of Samuel and Gisela Liebermensch, was born in Mannheim, Germany, in 1925. She was sent to England with her sister, Hannah Lewin, shortly after Kristallnacht. Both emigrated to the United States in 1940. Ruth Knox presently resides in West Palm Beach, Florida and Hannah Lewin resides in New York City.
