William B. (Bill) Hogan obtained a certificate in illustration from the School of Visual Arts, New York, New York. He was an illustrator/cartoonist for the editorial section of The Record in Hackensack, New Jersey.

From 1985 to 1992 he illustrated the weekly syndicated column, A Taste of America written by Jane and Michael Stern. The column consisted of recipes and reminiscences from the Sterns' travels around the country. Each column featured "down-home," all-American, regional dishes, each accompanied by a vivid description of the cafe, diner, hash house, or truck stop that produced it.

William B. Hogan continues to paint and lives in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He maintains a web site about his works at http://www.williambhogan.com/Intro.html
