Vann, Samuel King, 1845-1870
Samuel King Vann, 1845-1870, was 18 years of age when he joined the Confederate States Army. Later he married Nancy Elizabeth Neel of Jefferson Co., Ala., the recipient of these letters, and had two daughters, Willie and Ida. He died at the age of 24 in 1870.
