Teachers. Texas pioneers. Daughters of Daniel Chapman Hill and Alma A. Hill. Daniel Hill operated the Eldorado Hardware Company in Eldorado, Texas. Sarah Miltia Hill was born in Roger's Prairie (now Normangee), Texas in 1895. Katherine Bell Hill was born in Santa Anna, Texas in 1906. Both received B.S. degrees in education from the College of Industrial Arts (now Texas Woman's University) and taught at schools and colleges in Texas. Sarah Miltia was active in several women's clubs and in the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and the Daughters of the American Revolution. After retiring from teaching both sisters resided in San Angelo, Texas.
