Sheppard, A. W. (Alexander William), 1911-1997.
Soldier, bookseller, publisher. A. W. Sheppard was a Colonel in the A.I.F. who serve in Greece during World War II. From 1946 to 1948 he served with the British Economic Mission in Greece, having previously been awarded the Military Cross. After his return to Australia he pursued a career as bookseller and publisher.
