Darlington, Philip Jackson, 1904-1983
Variant namesPhilip Jackson Darlington, Jr. (1904-1983) received his Ph. D. from Harvard in 1931. He was the Fall Curator of Coleoptera (1940-1962), Curator of Insects (1952-1962) and Alexander Agassiz Professor of Zoology (1962-1971) in the Museum of Comparative Zoology. He was a member of the National Academy of Sciences (U.S.), the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (Boston), and several specialist societies.
