Rippey, Arthur G.
Variant namesArthur Gordon Rippey Jr. was a prominent Denver, Colorado businessman. He was the founder of Rippey, Henderson, Bucknum, and Company, a very successful advertising firm. Mr. Rippey was born in 1907, in Des Moines, Iowa. In 1943, Rippey and his wife relocated to Denver where he established Arthur G. Rippey & Company Advertising Agency. Gilbert Bucknum and Clair Henderson joined the firm soon thereafter. Rippey retired from the agency in 1966. Rippey was an avid collector of rare books and automobiles. In 1963, he established the Veteran Car Museum in Denver, and he founded the rare books society, the Johnson-Boswell Society of the Rocky Mountain Region.
