Chickasaw chief.

The leader of the pro-American Chickasaw faction, Piomingo signed treaties with Virginia in 1783 and the United States in 1786 (Hopewell), opposed the Spanish-allied Creek chief Alexander McGillivray who attempted to unite the southern Indians in a war against the U.S., and led Chickasaw warriors in Gen. Arthur St. Clair's northwestern campaign in 1791.
