Alfriend, Mary Bethell
Author, English instructor.
Mary Bethell Alfriend was born in Virginia on November 18, 1890. She received both her AB, 1930, and MS, 1933, from the Florida State College for Women. In 1935 she was appointed to the faculty as an instructor in English. She retired from Florida State University in 1950, and died in January of 1973.
