Asael Jenkins Smith (1903-1970) was a Mormon missionary to the Netherlands.

Asael Jenkins Smith was born September 28, 1903, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Asael was the grandson of Joseph Fielding Smith and the great-grandson of Hyrum Smith. From 1923 to 1925, he served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to the Netherlands. He married Loa Hales on August 13, 1928, in Salt Lake. Loa Hales Smith died in Oakland, California, on July 26, 1944. He and his wife had three children: Marilyn Smith Fotuou, Jane Smith Bunday, and Joyce Smith Anderson. Following the death of his wife, he married June Driggs on October 24, 1944. Asael worked as an auditor for the Social Security Administration. He died in Walnut Creek, California on March 9, 1970.
