Henry Morris attended school in Yacolt, WA. He and his family had moved from Vancouver, WA to Yacolt, WA. He recalls some of his childhood memories during this time. On July 30, 1981 Henry and his friend were fishing in Neah Bay. The ship Canada Maru was stuck in the sand. The ship was a passenger as well as a freight ship. There were about 250 passengers. Henry describes how he and his friend helped the passengers to safety. The crew had to through much of the freight over board to lighten the ship. And, the baggage of the passengers had to be removed from the ship. Henry and his friend help transfer all the baggage to another ship.
