Ready, Mary Amis.
Mary Amis Ready (1908-1984) worked for her son, William E. Ready, a civil rights lawyer in Meridian, Miss. She was involved in anti-poverty programs such as STAR Inc. and the federal Neighborhood Youth Corps. She moved to New Orleans in 1970. She was also known as Mrs. Donovan Ready.
