Mitarachi, Sylvia, 1917-1981
Variant namesSylvia (Wright) Mitarachi was the daughter of Margaret "Margot" Stone and Austin Tappan Wright. Her mother, the niece of pianist Amy Fay, was also a pianist; her father was a law professor. At the time of her death, Mitarachi was writing a book about Amy Fay's sister, Melusina Fay Peirce, author of Co-operative Housekeeping: How Not to Do It and How to Do It: A Study in Sociology (1884).
