Tucker, John F. (John Fry), 1839-1886
Variant namesJohn S. Tucker was a resident of Hale County, Ala., and served as a private in Company D, 5th Alabama Infantry, during the Civil War. The 5th Alabama saw action at a large number of battles, including Seven Pines, Fredericksburg, Chancellorsville, and Gettysburg.
