Beattie, Mary N., 1812-1904
John C. Beattie was born in New York in November 1813. He lived in Salem, New York, with his wife Mary (1812-1904) and their three children: Marcus (1837-1914), Martha (1841-1906), and Robert (1843-1914). During the Civil War, John C. Beattie was a warden at Clinton Prison in Dannemora, New York, and Marcus and Robert Beattie served in the Union Army. John C. Beattie died on March 24, 1905.
