Glazer, Lawrence M.

Lawrence M. Glazer, from the city of Detroit, earned his bachelor's degree in history from Wayne State University in 1965. He graduated from the University of Michigan Law School in 1968. He then served as a Michigan Assistant Attorney General for seven years, before entering private practice for seven years. In 1982 Glazer joined James Blanchard's campaign for governor as chief state issues advisor. After Blanchard won the election, he became special counsel and chief legal advisor to the governor for five years. After leaving Blanchard's administration, Glazer served as a state circuit judge, presiding over criminal, civil and divorce trials from 1987 until he retired in 2003. During his retirement Glazer authored a biography of Governor John B. Swainson.
