Moore, Matthew B.

Matthew B. Moore was born in 1905 in St. Paul, Minnesota. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Minnesota in 1929 and 1931, respectively. He joined the faculty at the University in 1929 as an instructor of agricultural botany and assistant in plant pathology. In 1973, Professor Moore retired from the University of Minnesota as professor emeritus of plant pathology. His major area of research was oat pathology and in 1974, Professor Moore received the "Distinguished Service to Oat Improvement Award" at the National Oat Workers Conference.
