Robert Giard, a free-lance photographer based in Amagansett, N.Y., began photographing gay and lesbian literary figures in 1985. The archives of his project includes over 500 images, some of which have been exhibited at the San Francisco and New York Public Libraries and many other venues. He is represented by Vance Martin.
