The Rev. Daniel O. Morton (1788 December 21-1852 March 25) was ordained 1814 June 30 and served as Congregational pastor and evangelist in Rochester, VT (1814-1831), Springfield, VT (1832-1837), Winchendon, MA (1837-1842), and Bristol, NH (ca. 1842-1850). He also organized the Temperance Society in Shoreham, VT in 1828. He was the father of Levi P. Morton, Vice-President under U.S. President Benjamin Harrison (1889-1893).
