Sidney P. Spalding was a United States Army major general who graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1912. He served with the American Expeditonary Forces in World War I on the western front, was with American troops during the American intervention into Russia during the 1918-1920 time period. He later served in the North African and Eastern theaters during World War II. Spalding retired from the Army in 1949.
