Hatfield, Ruth Hilton, 1908-
Variant namesHatfield helped establish the San Francisco Dance League. She taught children's dance classes at Live Oak Recreation Center in Berkeley. In 1962 she began teaching dance at Holy Names College, where she established a dance program. In addition to teaching dance, Hatfield studied Ideokinesis with Andre Bernard and began teaching alignment clinics in 1974. After retiring she has continued to be involved in dance organizations such as Isadora Duncan Awards. Married to Don Hatfield, a photographer who photographed Ruth's dance activities.
