Bain, Elizabeth Tannahill, 1893-1969
Elizabeth Tannahill Bain (1893-circa 1967) lived at Chapel Hill, N.C. (407 East Rosemary Street, which later became the Delta Upsilon Fraternity House) and Virginia Beach, Va. She was the daughter of Charles Wesley Bain (1864-1915), professor of Greek and Latin at the University of North Carolina, and Isabel Plummer Bain, a native of Petersburg, Va. As an adult, Elizabeth Bain served as department secretary to the Department of Romance Languages at the University of North Carolina.
