Daughter of Jacob Ludwig, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and Cacilia Charlotte Sophie Mendelssohn-Bartholdy nee Jeanrenaud she married merchant Charles Victor Benecke 30 April 1860 at Heiraten, Berlin, Brandenburg or Frankfurt, Hessen-Nassau, Preuben, Germany (Banns read 26 Feb, 4th and 11th March 1860 St Mary Lambeth, Surrey, England. The couple are present on the 1861 census residing in Denmark Hill, Lambeth, Surrey and residing at Highwood, Roehampton Park, Putney in 1870 when their 2nd son Edward Felix Benecke was christened. She is not present with her husband and 2 sons on the 1871 census at Highwood who has a visitor and 5 servants with them or on the 1881 census where husband and sons are joined by daughters Elsie and Margaret Benecke plus 5 servants. She appears on the 1891 census residing with husband, their children and 6 servants at Norfolk Lodge, South Mimms, Hertfordshire. She was buried 2 Nov 1897 St Giles age 58 years. Probate 11 Jan 1898 London.
