Phibbs, Harry C.
The Goodman Theatre in Chicago, Illinois, was established as part of the Art Institute of Chicago in July 1922 in memory of Kenneth Sawyer Goodman, who had written, published, and produced plays in Chicago prior to his death from influenza in 1918. The Theatre, which originally included a drama school and professional acting company, opened in October 1925. Harry C. Phibbs was a photographer active in Chicago and involved with the Goodman Theatre.
