Joe Milton Morris, (age 94) born December 27, 1918 in Larkinsville, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at his home in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Morris was a U. S. Army Air Corps WWII Veteran. He was a kind man with an adventurous spirit who loved to travel and had a deep affection for music. He was blessed with great friendships and the love of his family. Joe was a supervisor with Texas Pacific Oil Company for many years. He was a dear, smart, funny man of many stories, always ready with a tale to tell.

Waiting for Joe in heaven are Joe's parents Thomas Marshall and Josephine Gertrude Robertson Morris; sisters: Syd M. Haynie and Louise Morris; brothers: John Henry, Julian and Cobb Morris and his best friend, Henry Townsend.

Here, Joe is survived by his remaining family: niece, June Forbes, nephew T.M. Morris and his wife Karen, Luke Haynie and his wife Pat, nephew Bob Morris and his wife Lucha, niece Virginia Bowman and her husband James, cousin Beverly Ray and her daughter Beverly Jean, cousin Robert Morris Arnold, as well as five great-nieces and one great-nephew and 12 great-great-nieces and great-great nephews. His friends in Dallas and around the world will miss him terribly as well.

There will be a Military Graveside Service at Blue Springs Cemetery in Larkinsville, Alabama on Wednesday, June 26, at 11 AM CDT, where the flag will be presented to his nephew Luke, who served his country in the Navy. Honorary pallbearers are: Henry Townsend, Jerry Cummings, Jim Williams, Leon Vogelzang, T.M. Morris and Luke Haynie. Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, Alabama assisted the family with arrangements.
