p. 7. George Dillwyn of the city of Philadelphia, merchant, son of John Dillwyn, and Sarah Hill of the city aforesaid, daughter of Richard Hill of Madarai, married 10th month 16th 1759.

p. 512-514. Testimony of Burlington Monthly Meeting concerning George Dillwyn. Born in Philadelphia the 26th of the 2nd month 1738 (old style); engaged in mercantile pursuits for some years, wich terminated in disappointment and loss; he was called to the work of the ministry and appeared therein about the 28th year of his age; he felt drawn to pay a religious visit to parts of Great Britain, Ireland, Holland, Germany, and the south of France; he embarked in the year 1784; returned in 1791; remained a member of this meeting until the spring of 1793, when ... he removed with his wife to reside in Great Britain; he returned to Burlington in 1802 ... where he continued to reside until the close of his useful life; died shortly after noon, 23rd of 6th month, 1820; interred in Friends burial ground in Burlington the 25th of 6th month 1820.
