Dorothy Stewart Lyndall; American dancer and dance educator; born in Los Angeles,May 4, 1891; parents: Charles Penny Lyndall and Deborah Stewart Lyndall; attended the University of California, Los Angeles; performed and toured in 1910s as member of the Norma Gould Dancers; frequent partner in dancing and teaching was dancer and model Bertha Wardell; had her own long-running school of dance in Los Angeles; students included: Myra Kinch, Yuriko Kikuchi, and Janet Collins; Lyndall and Kinch taught a course in eurhythmics at the University of Arizona's dance program; member of the Dancers' League; wrote poetry; traveled with Margaret Rees in the American Southwest, Hawaii, and Mexico; died May 11, 1979, in Fontana, California, aged 88 years; grave in Mission City Memorial Park in Santa Clara, California
